They are an instant mood lifter, and are a simple way to ease into costume season. Put your hair in the highest ponytail, à la Ariana Grande, and simply slide the combs towards the crown of your head for an instant animal makeover, bonus points if you pair with leopard print!

My current jewelry situation is layering a lot of delicate necklaces. The problem with this trend is that more often then not, all my necklaces end up in a knot in my jewerly dish…nothing a DIY project can’t fix! I created a few bespeckled triangles with oven-bake clay, add hooks, and tah-dah! I had a solution to my tangled necklaces problem, perfect for my bathroom (which is also decorated in all black & white, surprise…surprise…). With the leftover clay I rolled a little cone shape for my most favorite ring. Steps and supplies after the break!

I am really digging trying out different kinds of clay, first it was the air-dry, and now I am testing out oven-bake clay. It was cool to mix up the colors and create a marbled look for the “gems”. For my first foray into the material, I started small and stuck with my favorite (non) colors, B&W, but there are an endless number of projects to be created with clay. Bigger, more intricate jewelry…jewelry holders…oh, the brainstorming begins. But first, the steps and supplies for these guys are after the break.
