I am really digging trying out different kinds of clay, first it was the air-dry, and now I am testing out oven-bake clay. It was cool to mix up the colors and create a marbled look for the “gems”. For my first foray into the material, I started small and stuck with my favorite (non) colors, B&W, but there are an endless number of projects to be created with clay. Bigger, more intricate jewelry…jewelry holders…oh, the brainstorming begins. But first, the steps and supplies for these guys are after the break.

As soon as the weather starts getting warmer the bracelet making begins! My wardrobe for the last couple weeks has solely consisted of the colors black & white, so this is my first attempting at introducing a little color into the mix. I was stoked to see that layering jewelry and added tassels is still on trend in the world of fashion… I started making a couple bracelets, and ended up with a bunch (first come, first server, friends!) plus a few necklaces. We are workin’ on a larger jewelry storage unit for the studio to remedy the current knot all my chains are tied up in, but in the meantime I whipped up an easy way to display a few of your favorite pieces.
