Since there is so much white in the new studio, I have been buying a bunch of rugs for the space. Two of my latest purchases: a large bleached jute rug and a pink kilim rug. I did not have a plan for where each one was going to go, but when I got back to the studio, I laid one on top of other and Eureka! I thought I invented the next great thing…haha. Turns out it’s a major trend, especially layering with jute rugs, and I absolutely love it! It’s a perfect way to define a really large area because jute rugs are less expensive than most statement rugs, so you can fill the floor space. You can go colorful, or neutral with a cow hide, like I did in my apartment. Ok, off to buy more rugs!
