My New Favorite Color

You might have noticed that I am on a really purple kick! This is a color I never thought I would design with but lately it is popping up everywhere in our spaces, just like the spring flowers appearing our yard. It started with this Eggplant bathroom, then the Heliotrope bedroom, and the dresser…now this guest room! The color of this duvet is called Bean Paste, which I was not quite sure about, but it’s a really beautiful muted lavender.

The Fairest of them all

How great is this mirror! Usually I love the look of thrifted mirrors, but the weight and price can be hefty. The price on this was totally worth the character it adds to the space. My favorite detail is how ornate the detailing is on the top, this would also be beautiful in a dining room or entryway. Here I’ve decided to lean it on the barn wood ledge. I paired the mirror with a framed page from this botany book. If you thrift the frames, it’s such an easy way to create art for a little $$!

Shop Around the House

Like with most of my revamps, a few items were moved from other rooms. I love to challenge myself to repurposing items in new spaces. This brass and marble side table is one of my favorites, and this Loloi rug was moved from another room and works great with the new duvet. Fresh flowers are always a lovely welcome when staying somewhere new, and they look beautiful in this stone vase.
