That day I got 80+ Succulents in the mail…

Earlier this week a mystery box arrived at my door, and inside was 80+ succulents…OMG! I was geeking out as I kept pulling more and more out of the box, it was insane, I was equal parts overwhelmed with happiness and fear to keep all these guys alive (now I know how the Octomom feels). I racked my brain to think who could have done this, then I remembered I shot my friend Nancy’s engagement photos a couple weeks ago, and she’s just insane enough to do something like this, haha (looooove you Nance, thanks!). Now the question is WHAT do I do with all these??? There has got to be some great DIY ideas…Giant terrarium? 80 pineapple planters? Give up I SPY DIY to take care of them all full time? Let me know what your ideas in the comments!

Why not make a table? Coffee table. Side table. Outdoor table. Find a gorgeous big pot. First place packing beans in the bottom of the pot, as this will make it lighter to move around when positioning it, then your soil and succulents…ensuring that the height of the plants sits below the lip of the pot (to allow for growth) Then place rubber bumpers /glass protector pads around the lip of the pot, and place a lovely piece of glass (slighter wider in diameter than the pot) on top. If you are a spinner type in “succulent table” to see other versions of this. What ever you decide will be gorgeous! I love the selection you have been given.

OMG! I would LOVE to get that many succulents in the mail! What a wonderful surprise!I think I would throw a plant party and invite some friends over to make little terrariums. Even though I would selfishly want to keep them all myself! I hope you share what you end up doing with them on the blog!

This is absolutely amazing! Maybe you could make a 3 part planter to go on a wall (kind of like the mason jar diy planters you see on pinterest) with 3 different sizes, and arrange them in there. Or, you could also arrange them around the house in different pots.

I just received some as a house warming gift, but now I have no idea how to keep up with these babies! You could do a post show casing them in a terrarium along with a brief description on how to keep them alive.
I’ve always wanted to use succulents to make molds for tea candles. That could be pretty cool, right? Maybe? Haha
Stagger a very large pot with succeeding smaller pots with the succulents. You will need some potting soil that holds moisture, and since succulents don’t need much water, you would not have to bring out the watering can too often. I would love to have that many plants in order to make a succulent pyramid. P.S. Doesn’t have to be pots. Can be anything protected from soil and water. Line wood with aluminum foil. Make a huge pyramid. Be sure to use vermiculite or those packing styrofoam things under your potting soil to make it easier to move.

If they will withstand the weather, you could take an old dresser and put it on the patio with the drawers pulled out slightly and fill the drawers, would be really cool if you have some that hang.
