Makeover by Monday | Colorful Sunroom with Cubby Storage
Before & After, DIY PROJECT, Makeover by Monday
This episode of Makeover by Monday was such a treat for me! We made over Tommy and Cait’s (owners of Enlightened Brewing Company) sunroom. Cait loves all things vintage, colorful and quirky, which is right in my wheelhouse! I am still trying to figure out how to pick up this room and put it in my own house! I just love it so much!
This sunroom has such beautiful light! The owners use it a lot but never got around to decorating it. The room became a drop zone for furniture, toys, shoes and jackets. Tommy and Cait wanted a space they could relax in, but not too precious so the kid could play. Also on their list was a dedicated area for boots and coat storage.

Birds on the Ceiling
I saw little birds all over their home, so had the idea to have a local artist, Christina Persika, to paint watercolor birds and then have Chasing Paper turn them into decals on the ceiling. It was a sweet little moment that added to the whimsy of the room.
Raffia Lamp
This is one of my favorite DIY projects, because it’s simple but has a big impact! You just wrap any color raffia around a basic lamp. All the step-by-step details are in the episode!
I loved finding out that Cait’s Grandma’s owned a wallpaper shop called Paper Dolls. It only seemed fitting that we add some wallpaper from my line with Chasing Paper. I used Lace from the collection, and am so pleased with how the delicate floral pattern plays with the rest of the sunroom.
Cait loves a good thrifted find, which is one of my specialties. The floral chairs were a score from a vintage sale, and I got the coffee table (which transforms into a dinning table #mindblown) at Restore. Both got a little black paint, and became stars of the room.
I think that’s about it! Let me know if you have other questions in the comments!
