Even though we had a jammed packed 5 days in New Orleans, I feel like I just scratched the surface of this city. There are so many more neighborhoods that I did not get to see, and so many more places that we went to, but I want to share the ones that I loved the most! For part of the time I was there with 11 girls, and then the last two days I was exploring with just a couple friends. If you happen to be going for girls getaway (aka Bachlorette weekend), I totally suggest our Airbnb above (link here) for 6 or 7 girls. And the outside table at Cane & Table was perfect for 11 ladies, plus the food was SO GOOD.  Sadly, the day we went to Jazzfest, there was a monsoon so it got rained out, and we ended up trudging home in knee high water. But we made the best of it! All my recommendations are after the break, and contact info for each is at the end, enjoy!

Court of Two Sisters – Great for big groups. They let us sit forever and it was buffet style so everyone one could eat at their own pace. Plus a lovely jazz band played. If you are in a smaller group, I would say try something else…it’s pretty pricey and I prefer ordering a meal over a buffet.

Merchant Coffee Shop – Super cute coffee shop in the back of KREWE du optic. Great cup of joe and minimalist style.

Belovo Lights – With my current obsession with copper, it was so cool to see the gas lamps being made in this iconic French Quarter shop. The guys were so lovely to chat with, and my DIY obsessed self could not stop watching how they made each lamp.

Cane and Table – I called ahead to arrange dinner for all 11 girls, and the setting and food was perfect! It was a prix fixe meal, so they just kept the plates coming, and it all was so delicious. The evening was beautiful and we sat there for hours, drinking, eating and laughing the night away.

Sucre – A bunch of you suggested this place and it did not disappoint my sweet tooth. For anyone who loves macarons and herringbone floors, you have to stop in. Make sure to go in the bathroom, the tile is amazing!

The Country Club – The afternoon we spent here was one of my favorites! This hidden gem in the Bywater has a pool that you can lounge by all afternoon on a hot day. The gay friendly spot is the perfect place for our crew of 11 (most-married) girls to kick back with a cocktail.

The Roch Market  – Another amazing evening was spent here! We had a bunch of planned meals with the whole group, but wanted something a little more laid back on our last night. Everyone could get their own food at the market (they have food from all over the world). We pushed together a couple tables and drank wine for hours. It was exactly what we needed after a day of rain at Jazzfest.

Magazine Steet was way more my speed, and seemed more local then the French Quarter. Great shopping and much more chill. Next time I go back I am for for sure going to explore this area more.

WALL – Obsessed with this wall! Make sure to coordinate your outfit for the picture. It’s on the corner of Magazine St and Eleonore St.

District Donuts – Ummm cookie dough donuts…enough said.

My hubs and I are DYING for a trip to New Orleans! I haven’t been yet, but I’m seeing so much buzz about it lately! So colorful and so much to do (and eat, which is my favorite thing to do). I’ve heard a lot about Sucre and definitely plan on hitting it up when we do make it. And also District Donuts, causeeeee I’d travel anywhere for a good donut. 😉

Thanks for sharing all these places! All good to add to our list!
