INSPIRATION | Sitting Area Makeover

If you have been following along for a while, you’ve seen the progress of decorating I SPY DIY Studio. I was initially thinking of doing a reveal post, but as time goes on, and new purchases are made, it’s more of an ever-evolving process. One area I have wanted to redo is the sitting area. I am forever on the search for a new couch, side chairs and a statement rug. I am super happy to be partnering with Membership Rewards® from American Express to give my space a facelift using points to purchase some home decor goodies from my favorite stores. First step is gathering some inspiration, and scouting some of my top picks for the studio:

Statement Rug: I’ve purchase a few black & white rugs, but maybe a pink accent rug with a cowhide on top would give the layered look I love.

Floor lamp: Industrial floor lamps can look amazing flanking your sofa.

Pink Pillow: Up to this point, I’ve stuck with B&W with yellow accents, but it might be time to incorporate some new colors…hot pink!

Accent couch or chair: I have been debating over this one forever…statement couch or chair. A bold chair paired with a modern grey couch is hard to pass up. But then there is always the option of a pink couch…decisions, decisions.
