HOW TO | Layering with Canvas Lands’ End
OUTFIT-FASHION, Outfits
I am a huge supporter of all things Wisconsin, so when Lands’ End Canvas, who is based out of my homestate, asked me to style some of their clothing I enthusiastically said YES. Since the weather has turned chilly, I thought what better to do then a 101 on layering. Canvas clothing worked perfectly to pile on, and here’s how:
- I started with this amazing sequin skirt and decided to add a casual spin by starting with a men’s denim shirt
- Next came the first layer, a cropped sweartshirt that was just thin enough not to look bulky.
- Pull the layers together with a fitted blazer
- Add some fun details, a clutch and printed scarf!
They also have perfect basics for DIYing, stay tuned to see what I do to my clutch later this week! And CLICK HERE for details on my outfit.

What was the point of leaving the bottom half of the shirt unbuttoned? Very distracting. If the shirt was too small maybe you could have cut small slits up the sides (like a tunic) so the triangle in the front would be smaller.
Love the details!

Ugh, what is the point of any of her “fashion” choices in this entry? She looks ridiculously awful, can’t believe she thinks it looks good.
Didn’t your mother ever tell you that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all?
wonderful layering!

You look amazying. Getting ready for the chilly weather?
Gorgeous, Jenni! I LOVE the Canvas line, too, and have had my eye on that sequin skirt for a few weeks now. The casual way you’ve styled it is such a fun take on the classics!
What? NO. No no no, why the FUCK are you giving fashion advice?! This is ALL terrible and also your skirt is too short.
Jenna, believe it or not, you are not required to read this blog. Pass on love in an area of this world that you feel passionate about rather than going out of your way to pass on negativity. Fashion, like almost everything in this world, is relative to the eye of the beholder.
Happy Holidays,

What? No. No no no. why the FUCK are you…. going out of your way to criticize her?! I for one think she looks nice. You’ve already commented once on how you weren’t a fan of this particular outfit, so shut it! We don’t need your trolling when we are all trying to create a creative, inspirational, KIND atmosphere.
You look great, Jenni. Love the short skirt with long legs.
Great post, I wish I had such a nice grey sweater 🙂

Jenna, please try to be positive this joyous time of the year. It is a great post.
LOVE this fun layering look! And I had no idea Lands End was producing these adorable clothes, thanks, Jenni!
How fun! I can’t say I’m crazy about the jacket with the under shirt showing, but this does show how easy it is to layer a bunch of fun items. That skirt is very cute and festive!!!

Gorgeous layering and great outfit!!!
Love the layered look. Great for chilly weather.
I love this! I have a silver sequin skirt that I can’t wear out very often, but now you’ve given me the confidence to maybe try it out and dress it down to wear as an everyday item! 🙂

Layering of clothers are simply perfect for the winter season is it keeps you warm. Albeit I prefer to layer clothing of similar textures and colors.
Love this! Thank you for beeing such an inspiration! 🙂
I just bought this skirt – I love the way you styled it here. I will definitely use this for inspiration!
