HOLIDAY HOME DIY | Conversation Heart Banner
DIY PROJECT
Sticking with my “Valentine’s with a little Sass” theme, I wanted to give the traditional candy conversation heart at bold color makeover, and give the same old “kiss me” message an update…and what better way to proclaim your love-ish declaration then on a banner! This trio has been bringing grins to everyone in the studio, as well as a round of questions from the UPS man…”So when you swipe right that means you like someone based off a couple pictures…” Don’t worry, Mom, I’ll explain it later. Bonus points for guesting the throwback lobster reference. Hint: the show was recently added to Nexflix and is currently occupying countless hours of my life. Step and supplies after the break…
What you need :
Placemat
Fray Block
Iron on letters
Iron
Dowel
Scissor
Fabric Glue
Rope
What to do:
Cut out a heart shape, leaving two 4″ strips on the top.
To keep your edges fraying, cover with fray block. Let dry.
Cut out your iron-on letters and arrange.
Place a piece of cotton fabric over the letters and iron. Peel off backing to the saying.
Glue the strips around a dowel. Let dry.
Tie rope on to each side, then hang. Done!

There are great. I get a bit fed up with the commercialism around Valentine’s day, so any other ideas for home made decs and gifts would be welcome. x
Agreed!!! Glad you like 🙂
These are so adorable! And that Friends reference is awesome 😉

This is so cute. Really like them.
So cute! These are great! And it’d be fun to design a banner like this just for home decor, not necessarily just for Valentine’s Day. Then, it could be displayed year-round! Thanks for this DIY!
