Well friends it’s Fall, which means it is time for one of my favorite parts of the season, pumpkins! And what better way to utilize these Autumn treats than to turn them into festive decorations!? The trickiest part about using real pumpkins is that they don’t tend to last very long, and I want to keep mine out all Fall. So I headed over to my local craft store to pick up some awesome faux pumpkins that you can still carve! After trying out a few ideas, I decided on a centerpiece that I can bring to my friends Halloween party. I love to put a spin on traditional holiday decorations to make them more personalized and unique. So after carving around the top, I gave the pumpkins a metallic makeover. I am obsessed with  Krylon® Premium Metallic spray paints, I pretty much spray everything with the silver and copper paint. It covers so well, and transforms anything into looking like metal. Finish off the look by adding a geometric pattern in a different color, or a touch of glitter for a chic look! What you need:
Carvable pumpkins
Krylon® Premium Metallic – Pewter Gray
Krylon® Glitter Blast™ – Starry Night
Krylon® Premium Metallic – Copper
Painters Tape

What to do:
Time to get creative! I used a couple different techniques to create the designs:
To create the patterned pumpkins, cut your tape into triangles, and place of the pumpkin.
Then spray paint the whole pumpkin with Krylon® Premium Metallic – Pewter Gray, and let dry. Don’t forget to read the product labels before you start painting for application and safety instructions.
Once the paint is dry, peel off the triangles to reveal the pattern.
Tape off the bottom and spray paint to get a metallic dipped look.
Spray paint some mini pumpkins with Krylon® Glitter Blast™-Starry Night and use as accents in your centerpiece.
