ETC

Now that you have your gift wrap paper idea, and wrapping station set, I thought I would share a few tips I learned to make the perfect looking present every time! My biggest problems were cutting way too much paper or having totally uneven sides. Plus, I always wondered how to get that seamless, super sharp looking finish on the edges. With just a few tips, I’ll have all your questions answered…wrap on!

Materials Needed:
Silver Glitter Wrapping paper
Scotch™ Precision Ultra Edge Titanium Scissors
Scotch® Magic™ Tape Dispensered Roll
Scotch® Giftwrap Tape Dispensered Roll
Scotch® Double Sided Tape Dispensered Roll

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Note: Follow all Scotch™ Brand package instructions for proper application and approved surfaces.
1.  Before you start your holiday giftwrapping, create and maintain an organized wrapping station. Gather your rolls of Scotch® Tape, scissors, wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, ribbons, tissues, yarn etc. in an area in your home with a lot of space.  That way, everything is in one place every time you need to wrap!
2. Start by measuring the paper. To get an even amount of paper on each side, use your hands and make sure the same number of fingers fit on both sides.
3. Cut your paper to size using Scotch™ Precision Ultra Edge Titanium Scissors.
4. Fold the paper over to hide the jagged edge and pull the wrapping paper to the edge of the box to hide the seam. Secure in place with Scotch® GiftWrap Tape.
5. Fold the open ends in towards the center to create flaps on the top and bottom.
6. Then, fold them up and secure with giftwrap tape.
7. Finish by running your fingers along the the corners to create a crisp angle on the edge.
8. Add fun embellishments!

DIY Embellishments
-Once you’ve completed the basic wrap, source items from around the home and try some of these DIY embellishments to personalize any gift.
– Create an oversized pom-pom by wrapping yarn around your hand and securing it in the middle. Trim and fluff the pom-pom to your liking and adhere it to the top of your gift using Scotch® Double-Sided Tape.
– Use materials you have around the home to create fun tags based on your recipient’s favorite things, such as a latte-inspired tag for coffee-lovers.
– Decorate a plain gift box with flat-backed gems, poms, bulap, twigs, crystals and rhinestones, adhering them using Scotch® Quick-Dry Adhesive
– Embellish a basic black or white wrap by fanning tissue paper or coffee filters across the gift box to add texture
– Create a stamp and add some fun

Wrapping gifts has always been a challenge for me. Its one of the skills that everybody does better than me without fail. It’s borderline frustrating now, lol. Having said that, getting a gift that is beautifully wrapped makes opening it that much better. I definitely enjoyed reading this and adding little touches to gifts like the twigs or the bowties. Its simple yet a great idea.
