BARNHOUSE | Exterior Christmas Decor

Room Makeovers

Our Barnhouse is all gussied up for the holidays! This was the first year we decorated the exterior since moving in a couple years ago. When we were renovating I always pictured stringing lights and garland on the balcony and porch! I am so happy we made it happen this year! This house was made to shine for the holidays 🙂

I bought a bunch of holiday decor from the Better Homes and Gardens line, which made the porch look so festive. My favorites are the Metal Lanterns and the flameless candles (that I set to go on at 4pm every night). I added a mix of faux trees, a vintage sled, and borrowed some logs from the wood pile for this Wire Basket.

The porch swing got a festive makeover too! I love a buffalo plaid print around the holidays. This Buffalo Plaid/Stripe Outdoor Rug is reversible and was only $44! The Copper Outdoor Side Table doubles as pillow storage on rainy days. The Cable Knit Throw and Black Coffee Mugs are a couple of cozy touches for cold days.

The key to hanging the garland and Globe String Lights were zip-ties! Can you spot one, ha!

It looks absolutely amazing. I can just see the winter evenings being passed on that swing. Feeling so homey and warm from the lights and candles. It’s utterly beautiful.
