I am so happy that the studio is finally coming together! This triangle shelf is putting a huge grin on my face, and looks perfect in the space. After looking at a bunch of inspiration, I sketched up a design for my amazing wood worker, Mike, who made it come to life. I know, I know… it’s not technically a DIY, but with so many project needing to get done in the studio, I asked for a little help. We decided on 8ft for all the sides, and made 30 degree miters to create the base. After centering the middle shelves, he channeled his inner gemometry to cut and fit the inner triangles. I am so so so happy with how it turned out, and had the most fun adding my personal touches to the shelves. Stay tuned because I am sure I will style and restyle the triangle many times! (more…)
I spotted a triangle shelf on Pinterest a while back and knew I had to have one in the studio. I love that they are such a statement piece on a blank wall, prefect for displaying all my succulents and chachkies. Plus, I have couple brick walls that are tough to hang anything on, so it’s the perfect way to decorate the blank space. Next up was deciding the configuration, and working with my favorite wood worker handyman to make it come to life. Stay tuned to see how it turned out. And in the meantime, how amazing are these above? So obsessed!

I spotted this hanging triangle shelf on Pinterest the other day, but when I clicked through to the website, it was sadly no longer for sale. After rummaging around the studio, I realized I had everything to make my own version. Plus, I got to use my new drill, score! I grabbed the wood triangle from this project, dyed some rope, drilled holes, knotted, and DONE. And honestly, I don’t really know what the mechanism is that I used to hang it, but I found it in my studio, and screwed it into the wall…DIY is all about using what you got!
