MY DIY | Hook & Eye String Bracelet

DIY PROJECT, Jewelry DIY

After spying yesterday’s photos, I went into my craft closet and found some leftover wire from this project and extra string from this DIY, then created a Hook & Eye for my string bracelet.  I tripled it up and added a statement watch to create my new stack!

What you need:
16 Gauge Half Round Half Hard 14/20 Gold Filled Wire – 5FT
String
Jewelry Pliers

How To:
Create the eye by cutting 4 inches of wire, pinch the center of the wire with your flat pliers.
Next bend down both sides of the wire
With your round pliers, create loops at each end
Create the hook with by bending a second piece of wire in half
Create loops at each end
Bend the rounded end to create the hook
Next, cut a foot of string and thread through the two loops of the hook, and pull the string to the center.
Thread each end of the string through each end of eye loops
Tie the ends of the string to the middle of the bracelet, then trim excess string (measure to your wrist to make sure it will fit)
Hook to fasten your bracelet.
