Fashion Inspiration, INSPIRATIONS

ispydiy_bandT_sliderispydiy_bandT7ispydiy_bandT3ispydiy_bandTispydiy_bandT8ispydiy_bandT6Growing up I was ALL ABOUT the band tee. I was a huge concert goer, and wanted to document each event with a t-shirt souvenir. Over the years my collection grew to be a bit schizophrenic, much like my taste in music. It started with the T’s my friends and I begged our parents to get us at our first Backstreet Boys and ‘NSync concerts, the mid 90’s staples were shirts from Silverchair and Nirvana, then during my “hippy” phase I traded off between a grateful Dead Tie-dye and my countless DMB Tee’s. I love that each one signifies a stage in my life, and the music connected to each brings back a flood of memories. It makes me absolutely giddy to see the music T making it back into the mix. At Fashion Week the stylish were seen dressing up a vintage T with a pencil skirt or blazer, or pairing a new artist with distressed denim and a little plaid in true 90’s status. Either way I think the look is rad, and I am pretty sure 15 year old Jenni would think so too. Do you have a super special concert T?

What great inspiration! I’m an adult and I still love going to concerts and buying t-shirt. Lately I’ve just been reconstructing them into workout tops but these photos are such a great compilation of how to turn something from our youth into a fashionable outfit.

Thanks so much! Looking forward to the DIY x
