I have a bit of an obsession with going to thrift stores and buying random vases, containers, bowls…there are always rows and rows of them AND they are so cheap AND you never know when you are going to need a container for gems or glitter or any of the random crafting supplies I own. On my last container spree, I picked up this bowl for $1 with the plan to paint it and add some fruit. Mostly because I wanted an excuse to buy a bunch of fruit, take photos of said fruit, and then eat the fruit…or add to my Friday afterwork cocktail. Mission complete, and a dollar well spent! Steps and supplies after the break…

I love this! And I love how simple the design is, how you allowed the paints original wood to still take center stage. This is a super cute fruit bowl, definitely better than something plain!

  • We love this bedside table! The neutral colour palette used throughout the rest of the room allows the darker colour of the unit to work in the space.
