HOLIDAY DIY | Fave Friendsgiving Cookies

I have the DIY decorations set, now on to the important part of the holiday…cookies! Since my little Sister and I are in charge of Friendsgiving this year, we wanted to share our cookie baking and decorating tradition with our guests, while showing how thankful we are for each one of them. So, the plan is to whip up a batch of letters cookies to spell out how appreciate we are for everyone in the sweetest way possible. We, of course, had to do a test batch using the secret ingredients, COFFEE-MATE Snickerdoodle Flavored Creamer and COFFEE-MATE Butter Toffee Flavored Creamer, to ensure deliciousness (mission complete). Then, on Thanksgiving the plan is to have everyone pick a person and bake/decorate a word to express how grateful they are for that friend. Awwwww, right?!? The warm and fuzzy feelings combined with a sugar high will no doubt make for a memorable evening! Get the cookie cutter set here, then keep reading for ingredients and recipes!

Fave Friendsgiving Cookies:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon COFFEE-MATE Snickerdoodle Flavored Creamer
1 tablespoon COFFEE-MATE Butter Toffee Flavored  Creamer
1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
1 tablespoon (for topping)

Preheat oven to 375*

Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mix for 2 minutes. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix until dough comes together. Add creamer. If dough is still crumbly, add creamer 1 tablespoon at a time. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bow. Remove dough from fridge and cut letters. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture and place on baking sheet. Bake at 375* for 10-12 minutes.

Once cooled, go crazy decorating with cookie frosting. I purchased tubes with a fine tip for precision when frosting. I quickly learned that practice make perfect (and eating the mistakes is a major bonus).Ispydiy_thanksgivingcookies1
