DIY Cherry Blossom Branches

DIY PROJECT

The weather is still quite gloomy here in Wisconsin, so I thought I would try out a DIY project to bring some spring into The Sage Home: a Faux Cherry Blossom Branch Centerpiece.

I started with some inspiration; Yankee Candle’s new Sakura Blossom Festival Collection, then I found a few large fallen branches to really create a statement centerpiece. With some faux blooms and hot glue, I transformed the kitchen into a cheery place!

This DIY is super simple; you just need a little time and patience to achieve the look!

Supplies

Faux Cherry Blossoms (I used these)
Fallen branches
Glue Gun
Vase

Steps

– Fill your vase with water (to make it look realistic) and place your branches. It’s easier to arrange them before gluing on your blossoms.
– Then pull the blossoms off of the faux stems.
– Dab a little hot glue on the branch, or directly on the blossom
– Then hold in place on the branch for 5 seconds

Repeat!

Light your candle to fill the room with a beautiful fragrance, enjoy your blooms, and celebrate the coming of springtime.

This new collection has four fragrances:  Sakura Blossom Festival, Mango Ice Cream, Sweet Plum Sake, and Majestic Mt. Fuji. All evoke the feeling of renewal and optimism as we gather together and celebrate spring! The Sakura Blossom Festival candle was my muse for this project.

This post was made in partnership with Yankee Candle, thank you for supporting our amazing sponsors!
