ASK THE EXPERT | How to Style an Exposed Bra

Ask the expert, DIY PROJECT

I have to admit, after a very awkward fitting session at a certain lingerie store (nothing fit but the lady attempted to “rearrange” things to convince me they did) I swore off bra shopping. I would just buy whatever (kinda) worked. So I was super interested when True&Co asked me to try their online bra fitting quiz, my interest turned to excitement when the bras came right to my door and they all fit! I thought why not show ’em off now that the temps are going up. I enlisted one of fave bloggers and stylist, Christine from My Style Pill, for some tips on how a busty girl can get the exposed bra look.

CHRISTINE’S TIP: When wearing a sheer shirt with an exposed bra, keep everything else modest. Shorts or a mini are fine, but opt for a 3/4 length sleeve and flats to keep it classy.
MY OUTFIT: Free People shorts, Urban Outfitters top, True&Co Bra, H&M flats, Coach watch, DIY bracelets, Warby Parker sunglasses

CHRISTINE’S TIP: DIY a basic T by cutting off the sleeves and wear with a neon bra. Sport sneakers to match the tomboy look, then add girly touches like a flirty skirt, gold necklace and a pop of pink on the lips.
MY OUTFIT: Urban Outfitters Skirt, True&Co Bra, Hanes T, Converse, Forever 21 Necklace

CHRISTINE’S TIP: A jumpsuit is not for everyone, but rock the deep V on a night out with a colorful bra for a little color. This way you can get that sexy low cut look without worrying about a wardrobe malfunction. Keep jewelry to the wrists and rings, and skip the necklace, making the bra the focal point.

MY OUTFIT: Uniqlo Jumpsuit, Free People sunglasses, True&Co Bra, Coach shoesHammitt Clutch
