DIY HOME| Updating My Office Nook with Art
DIY PROJECT, Home DIY
My desk has found a home in my house! I think I have found the best place to set up shop. This nook is in my bedroom and I have loved working here because it’s upstairs away from the bustle of the kitchen and right next to a window. Now that I have found a home for my computer desk, I am so excited to partner with Shutterfly to give the empty looking “BEFORE” space a makeover!
I knew I wanted big pieces of wall art as a backdrop and Jenny’s print shop had an amazing selection of downloaded prints to choose from. Luckily I knew I wanted something neutral, which helped narrow down my options, otherwise I would have never been able to choose! These Lynne Millar poppy and hyacinth pieces were exactly the simple, lively pieces I was looking for in my office nook. I could download any size I needed from Jenny’s print shop to my computer and then upload directly to Shutterfly without scanning or resizing; so easy! I printed on canvas through Shutterfly to recreate a sense of the original painted pieces and LOVE how they turned out! The walnut frame complimented my desk perfectly!
Confession: I am kind of a blanket hoarder. What can I say, I like to have a bunch of options on hand when I redecorate or when the seasons change. I scored this cool blanket ladder to hang them on. Do you spy the super fun Naps with Griff customized blanket? I had designed the pattern a while back and could upload directly to Shutterfly. Then I added customized text to make my new blanket one-of-a-kind. Griff loves to hang out with me while I edit photos and I think this blanket will be my go-to grab on those chilly office days.
If you are interested in printing your own pieces from Shutterfly, keep an eye out for their coupon and discount offers. I used a 40% off EVERYTHING coupon which made the art an absolute steal! Which project would you want to create with Shutterfly first? More after the break!
The options are endless with Shutterfly and I couldn’t resist also creating a personalized notepad. This is a great inexpensive way to design letterheads for business or personal use. I am going to be using mine to write notes for others and to jot down ideas for the blog.
This post was made in partnership with Shutterfly; thank you for supporting my amazing sponsors!

It’s from World Market! I don’t think they have this exact one anymore, but I saw something similar at their store.
What about the greens? Where are those from? I’ve been putting off updating my work area, and I think you’ve finally inspired me 🙂
