After researching this week’s dip post I am all in for making appetizers, but before I put on my chef’s hat, I needed a cookbook…and now that I have a cookbook, I clearly needed a DIY stand for it, right? (I think I am just procrastinating because I would way rather use power tools than pots and pans!) After working with copper on my magazine rack, I wanted to use tubing again for the holder. Also, there was ulterior motive…the outlet on wall is an eyesore and I wanted something standing to cover it! I am stoked with how it turned out, it’s equal parts function and style. Step and supplies after the break!

What you need:
1/2″ Copper pipe
Four 1/2″ 90 degree copper elbows
Two 1/2″ Copper pipe caps
Unfinished wood rectangle
Pipe cutter
Metal Glue
What to do:
Use your drill to create two holes at the bottom of your wood 6 inches apart
Use your copper pipe cutter to create the sizes below (you may need to customize to fit the size of your cookbook)
Two 6.5″ pieces
Two 4″ pieces
One 5″ piece

Attach the pieces as shown.
Reinforce with metal glue to hold the pipes together. Let dry.
Insert pipe structure between the cutout holes and stand.
Optional: Stain your wood white, the dry, and add a cookbook.
Time to get cookin’!
