DIY HALLOWEEN | KID’S PINEAPPLE COSTUME

DIY PROJECT, Holiday DIY

Can you guys believe it’s almost Halloween?!  A good friend of mine has the cutest baby girl and asked if I could design a special one of-a-kind Halloween costume for her this year, and what’s cuter than a little pineapple?! Children’s costumes can be tricky because they need to be comfortable, durable and easy to move in. So I picked cotton onesie to transform into an adorable fruit costume!  I started with a basic white onesie and dyed it with a vibrant yellow fabric spray paint, and used black felt to create a modern, geometric pineapple pattern and the cutest topper attached to a cap. The outfit was really simple to make and cotton was the perfect material for the project because it’s soft and comfortable so kids can wear it all day (and hopefully everyday, it’s just too cute!) Even though it was intended for a little girl, it’s a great unisex costume and can be replicated with other fruit or plant looks. Check out the video below to learn more about making your own, or get to supplies and step-by-step after the break.
