Remember earlier this Summer when I did a little bedroom refresh with Spoonflower? Well, they JUST launched their Dining products, so I gave my dining room a little breakfast bistro makeover!! I picked a few patterns to get printed on a tablecloth and dinner napkins to create a little Parisian dream in my dining room.

What I love about Spoonflower is that you can DIY (design-it-yourself) a pattern, or pick from one of the million in the marketplace. It’s perfect if you are throwing a dinner party with a theme or color palette, and you can’t find the right fit…create your own!! Plus, you get a 10% designer discount when you order your own design!

I picked out a french feed sack stripe on the table cloth, with a blush check dinner napkin to add just a little color to the table, plus a cheeky black and white rooster print for the egg bowl. The combination of prints makes me so happy, and I wish every morning I could sit for hours, and sip coffee at this carb loaded breakfast!! Next, I want to order some fabric to sew up some Roman shades for this dining nook.

This post was made in collaboration with Spoonflower. Thank you for supporting my amazing sponsors!

I did some major antiquing a few weekends ago, and high on my list was dining room chairs for a Barnhouse project with my amazing longtime sponsor, Krylon® Brand.

I did not know exactly the shape I was looking for, but knew that I wanted to paint them with this SUPER pretty Krylon® Italian Olive color. I stopped at 5 different thrift stores, picking up different chairs along the way (each were only $6), thinking that I would use 4 mismatched chair and just spray-paint them all the same color. Then, on my last stop, I found 4 matching ones for $30, score!! They were that awful orange wood, and I didn’t love all the detail, but thought they might look more modern painted the beautiful deep green. They honestly turned out even better than I thought they would!!!

I started by sanding the topcoat with my mouse sander to rough up the topcoat, then sprayed on about 5 light coats of Krylon® ColorMaster™ Paint + Primer – 25% More in Satin Italian Olive, letting them dry in between each coat. Don’t worry about it being patchy the first couple coats, the key is light layers to build up the color and keep it from dripping. The color looked SO rich when it was done. The satin finish has some sheen, and I really wanted a matte finish that almost looked like chalk paint, so I tried the Krylon® Matte Finish Clear. I was super impressed with how flat the color looked after it dried! What do you all think?! All I have left to do is find a larger oval table to replace the game table I painted with chalkboard paint, and I’ll be ready to host a dinner party!

Yay! It’s time for another room makeover! My amazing friend, Melissa (everyone around here knows her as the creator of MilwaukeeHome), moved into a new house with her hubs and baby boy. The home is super cute, but they they had the dreaded statement red wall in the dining room…just like every Wisconsin home not been renovated since the 2000’s. She was using the space as a playroom, but really wanted somewhere to eat dinner as family. So we swooped in with some paint and gave the room a makeover, it’s amazing how a fresh coat can give a space a whole new life!

Can we talk about these chairs!?! I saw them at the Sauder showroom at Highpoint and became OBSESSED with finding a space to use them in. They are the perfect shade green, and the perfect matte finish. They are such a statement, I knew I wanted to keep the rest of the room a neutral palette.

Everyday dining will proooooobably not be as fancy as this setup, but we really wanted to do up the table for their little family. Sometimes it’s nice to go a little overboard for a new Mom 😉 The danger of decorating is I always end up buying an extra set for myself…ooops! So the speckled plates and matte black silverware might look familiar from pics of my house.

We put a shelving unit in a back closet area they were not using, and tuned it into a bar area. I LOVE this “You Are Here” sign (I bought one for my home too), that’s actually a framed tea towel that I found on a trip to Minnesota.

I am obsessed with the planter, and knew it would be perfect in the corner with a tree, to add a little height and greenery to the room.

I know you all have seen this art before in my bedroom, weeeelll the art I bought for the makeover did not arrive on time for the shoot, so I grabbed this one off my wall, and now it has a new home, ha! Guess it’s time to buy something new for my room #notcomplaining
