Happy Monday, and welcome back from Thanksgiving vacay! I had a lovely time doing some major chillin’, eating my weight in mashed potatoes, doing a little (or way too much) shopping, mixed with some work at the studio (hellooooo freshly painted white floors). To get back into the swing of things, and infuse a little brightness into the beginning of your week, I had to share a few images I spotted on Pinterest that are encouraging me to expand my color palette. Now if only my painting aftermath was as beautiful as these! For more pins, follow along!

First it was patches, now its patchwork! I saw this denim trend during Fashion Week and thought it would be fun to give it a go. I liked denim on denim, but thought combining plaid and leather was a super cool look. The hitch was that I wanted to create a no sew version…and leave out the ankle fringe… Stay tuned for the final look tomorrow!

Patches popped up on the runway a couple season back, and it was a trend I thought was super cool, but was not sure it would stick around. Cut to current day, and we are seeing everything from varsity jackets to mini skirts to clutches decked out in a plethora of patches. I am officially ready to jump on the trend and have been preparing my collection to find a home on an article of clothing. The question is…which one? I am torn between a skirt or an oversized sweatshirt…what do you think?!
