The days have been sun-filled around here, which is great because summer style is my favorite! This year I’ve been really into sunglasses, and have found a lot of unique pairs, but since I am always on the go I tend to just throw them in my purse and break them, which is a huge bummer. So to solve this problem, I’m bringing you an adorable, heart-shaped DIY cotton sunglasses case! Pick a color combo that you love and matches your personality. I chose to use a fun black and white fabric, with the perfect bright pink cotton material as the accent color. I love how the bold print pops off the vibrant pink, the perfect look for summer! Cotton canvas is great for this project because it is easy to work with, and super durable so you can toss it in your beach bag for a day of fun in the sun! The off-the-shoulder shirt is officially the must-have of the summer! If you haven’t purchased one yet, fear not, it’s easy to make one from a button-up you (or your guy) might have in the closet. Since it’s too nice outside to be indoors sewing, we are making a quick no-sew version that will have you back to BBQing in no time! A cotton button-up is great for this project because the fabric will hold the adhesive, and last through the wash. Quick Tip: Make sure to pick one that is a little oversized so you can pull it over your head. I loved using a super fun tropical printed men’s shirts for this DIY and most are cotton, so the fabric is breathable on hot summer days, and the designs are perfect for completing your festival-worthy outfit.
