MY DIY | Pineapple Cotton Canvas Sneakers
The pineapple obsession continues! There’s no better season than festival season. Nothing beats the warm temperatures, stellar music, and of course, that unique style that’s found at a music fest. I’ve got a few concerts on my list for this summer and finding outfits that make me stand out is a must. Most importantly though, my shoes have to be comfortable enough to dance all day (and night) long in!
Cotton canvas sneakers are everyone go-to for a festival, so to stand out from the crowd, I gave mine a one-of-a-kind makeover with a cute pineapple print and fabric markers. These cotton kicks are great because they are durable enough to be thrown in the wash if they’re dirty from a weekend of stage hopping, and the fabric markers are permanent so no running or fading! Plus, the ability to personalize them guarantees that nobody else will be rocking your style. I’ve already gotten a ton of compliments on my shoes! Check out the video below and get the step and supplies after the break!
What you need:
White Pair of Cotton Sneakers
What you do:
Step 1: On a piece of paper, practice drawing the pineapple image that you want to appear on the shoes.
Step 2: With a pencil draw your pineapple image all over the top of the shoes, creating a random pattern.
Step 3: Outline the pineapples with a permanent marker.
Step 4: Color in the pineapples with yellow and green fabric marker. Add the details of the pineapple using a thin, black permanent marker.
