HOME INSPIRATION | Striped Rug

Home Inspiration, INSPIRATIONS

Ok, I am going to admit something, I have spent a ridiculous amount of time searching the internet for my living room rug…too much time, way too much time. There are a couple factors I am working with that are making it a bit difficult.

1. In a tiny space, the rug becomes a centerpiece/focal point, so it sets the tone for the entire apartment. Should I go with a statement color or stick to a neutral?
2. I am allergic to wool (cruel joke played on a kid from Wisconsin) and I had no idea how many rugs are made of wool.
After searching blogs and pinterest graphic black and white rugs keep catching my eye, and now I am on the hunt for the perfect (wool-less) version OR a white rug that I can DIY my own version. You like?

  12. If I hadn’t pink walls and the floor with a mosaic I would certainly go for a striped rug 🙂

Have you tried Zara Home? (Pretty sure it’s available in the States now) I bought a black and white striped cotton runner from there last year. Such a nightmare being allergic to wool, I couldn’t survive in the UK without out it, plus I love my IKEA black and white Stockholm Rand wool rug. Good luck with the search.

I love this rug it would look great in my iving room! I have been looking on a bunch of site but i just can’t find what im looking for for the right price. Does anyone have any ideas as to where to get an inexpensive fashionable rug other than the usuals (target, walmart, etc.) I am thinking that the next place I try might be Marshall’s or TJ MAX.
