After I did this nursery makeover, I have been getting quite a few requests from my friends to help them with decorating projects in their houses. It’s been exciting to be the go-to home design girl, and I’m happy to help! My friend, David, used my tutorial to create a live edge slab bar in his home, and now he was looking for a way to decorate this corner. He has these amazing photos that his grandfather took during his time in the Navy during World War 2. I was blown away at the clarity and details of pictures, so we thought it would be a great idea to blow them up and frame a few to hang. I was a little nervous that the photos would not look as good at a larger size, but we took them to the photo department at Walgreens and had them scanned in at the highest resolution, then uploaded to Art.com to enlarge and frame. When the arrived in the mail, we were both amazed at how sharp the photos looked! The gorgeous wood frame and mat made an absolutely beautiful piece of art. David ordered some additional pieces on canvas to give his brother for Christmas, and the details on the canvas equally as crisp, and the canvas art is super affordable for gifting this season. Art.com’s Photos To Art is the perfect way to transform personal photos into one-of-a-kind works of art that can be mounted on Canvas, Framed, Wood-mount, Acrylic, Art on Metal, Prints and SwitchArt. After hanging the art I added some fun details on the bar including decanters filled with his favorite liquor, David’s vintage corker, and some greenery. His pup, Big Papi, had to get in on the photoshoot action, and completed this cozy bar corner!

This is a great idea! We have a slap table in our dining room and I’m a huge fan natural wood. I love how you styled the bar. Thanks for the share!
