Now that we are out of 2016, I am finally getting a chance to wrap my head around it. It was a doozy of a year, and I have to admit, at the end of it I was burnt out from blogging in a major way. With the boom of new social platforms (Snap AND Insta-stories) I started to wonder how much is too much. I started focusing on how I was not doing enough, instead of celebrating the success I had in 2016: the launch of my product line #ispydiysupplies, a magazine cover, setting up #ispydiystudio, fun TV appearances, some projects that I am still managing to keep a secret, and a bunch of DIY projects that I am super proud of. I am so thankful for all these amazing opportunities, and am making a point to focus on the positive this year. I know I have been a little quiet across all my platforms, but I just wanted to say a giant thanks to everyone who has followed along with I SPY DIY for the last 7 years, and stuck by me as I evolve in this crazy world of blogging. I am easing into 2017, and shifting focus to more room makeovers and DIY interior design, which was one of my favorite parts of last year. I have a bunch spaces in the works, and can’t wait to share them, so stay tuned! In the meantime, lets take a look back at some of my favorite moments of 2016.
I was beyond excited to launch my DIY product line #ispydiysupplies in 2016, stay tuned for it to hit stores in 2017!
My friend’s nursery makeover was one of my favorite projects of the year. I can’t wait to take on more room transformations this year!
My best night of the year was a girl’s rooftop movie night in NYC with my bestie’s. Honestly could not have asked for a better evening!
One of your favorite projects of the year: Monstera leaf tray! Also a great time for a year later update. The color of the leave will keep on changin’, so stick with the faux leaves if you are looking of longevity.
My geometric headboard was one of the biggest hits of the year! And even landed on the cover of Better Homes & Garden’s DIY issue.
My copper obsession was a bit out of control in 2016, this tripod light was my favorite project!
