I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve! I did something I have not done in quite a while, I took a few days to unplug and live offline. I spent the first few days of the New Year celebrating with a bunch of my favorite friends in Mexico. And while I do admit that it was a little strange not being on instagram or updating my site, it was a much needed break to recharge after a super busy year, and an even crazier few week leading up to my trip in Mexico (if you did not see on Instagram, I was on Good Morning America the morning before hopping on the airplane). I don’t want to jinx anything, but I feel like 2015 might be one of my best years yet (no pressure, right?). I feel reenergized and inspired, and with a few big projects in the works, I think I Spy DIY is ready to go to the next level. In an effort to keep the momentum up, I think it’s best to jot down a few goals, so here we go:

I Spy DIY Studio: The studio has been a slow process because we are constantly decorating an area for a photo-shoot and then moving the setup and redecorating for a new shoot, so its look is constantly evolving. My goal is to get it just right so I can do a photo tour and show you all the whole space! It’ honestly makes me so happy when I am working there, it was by far my best investment last year, and once it is fully organized it will be oh-so-amazing!

Videos: I looooove doing videos, they are so fun and a great way to interact with you all in a more lively way then pictures. I took a step back from creating videos last year because I wanted to have more control over how they looked, which you often can not do when they are shot by a sponsor. The plan is to create more for you this year, and have it really be a place where I can push myself creatively, coming up with new and exciting content.

Big Projects: I have a couple bigger projects in the works for this year, and even though they make me nervous, its important to push yourself. I really want to commit myself to putting my everything into these projects so I can have results that I am truly proud of, and be excited to put the I SPY DIY stamp of approval on them. I really can’t wait to share what I have in the works….soon!

Travel: Nothing make me happier then exploring new places. This post is being typed from my insanely gorgeous hotel lobby in Mexico, I decided to stay longer after my trip with my friends to wander more. I have always been very independent, but traveling around a foreign county alone really pushes you to be comfortable with yourself and your ability to manage any situation. I do a lot of traveling in the States, but I would love to plan a couple larger trips, like Hong Kong and Dubai this year. Both have been on my bucket list for awhile, and its time to make it happen. Who whats to come with? 🙂

Jenni: Honestly most days I am covered in paint, wearing little makeup with my hair thrown back. I would consider myself a pretty low maintenance girl (although my family would probably disagree). However, I find myself more productive when I get up and properly get ready to go into the studio everyday. So this year’s goal is to gussy myself up for the office and set up more lunch dates and dinners with new people. Sometimes you can get stuck in an everyday routine, and being a inquisitive person, I love hearing other peoples paths and outlooks.

Ok, the goals are officially in print, which means I have to stick to them! #dontstop #wontstop What are your goals for 2015? I would love to hear!
