My DIY | Festival Fringed Tank
We are oh-so-close to denim cutoff weather! I have been busy plotting the concerts I want to hit up this Summer, which also means that the outfit planning is in full effect. I have been in the market for a new pair a jeans shorts, and was stoked to find the perfect pair of higher waisted ones that fit like a glove. Next step is to amp up the look by giving your basic T a makeover with a few snips and some dye. Steps and supplies after the break…
What to do:
Use your ruler to create guides along the width of the shirt that will indicate the desired length of your fringes. Space the points about a half an inch to an inch apart, depending on your preference. Do this on the front and the back of the shirt.
Starting at the hem of the shirt, cut horizontally to these points to create the fringes.
Pull the newly cut pieces towards you to create add a curled effect to the fringes.
Spray the fringes with your fabric dye of choice. To create an ombre effect, add more dye to the base of the fringes.
