COLOR STUDY | Blue

INSPIRATIONS

Hello! It’s Rachel of Lines Across here to share another color study with you. Today I’m sharing my very favorite color, blue. I especially love the way that different shades of blue look together, and it reminds me of the beautiful ocean and the sky. Follow along with me on Instagram for more colorful inspiration.

I’ve noticed that whenever I’m drawing, or painting, or making, blue is usually the first color I reach for. It’s gotten to the point where the shades of blue on my watercolors set are much lower than all of the other colors. And of course when I recently shared a tutorial for fun polka dot watercolor art, I chose to paint with shades of blue.

One of the things I’ve learned from taking these color study pictures is to notice things that are seemingly ordinary and boring. I have started to naturally categorize and organize everything by color, and find beauty in some of the little things in life.
